On the Trail of Piero della Francesca – Private Full-Day Tour in Tuscany

Join us on a Private Full-Day Tour of Tuscany and follow in the footsteps of the Renaissance master, Piero della Francesca.

Discover Piero della Francesca’s Masterpieces

On this Private Full-Day Tour of Tuscany, we take you on a journey through the life and works of one of the greatest Renaissance painters, Piero della Francesca. Known for his unique use of perspective and serene compositions, his works remain iconic in the art world. This exclusive tour offers you the chance to explore the masterpieces of Piero della Francesca in the very places they were created.

Explore Tuscany’s Art Gems

The tour begins with a visit to the town of Arezzo, where you’ll see Piero’s most famous fresco cycle, The Legend of the True Cross, located in the Basilica of San Francesco. These frescoes are considered a masterpiece of early Renaissance art, and your guide will provide in-depth commentary on their meaning and significance.

Next, we travel to Monterchi, a small hilltop town that houses the beautiful fresco Madonna del Parto, an intimate and moving depiction of the Virgin Mary. This fresco, though simple in composition, holds deep emotional resonance and is a must-see for art enthusiasts.

The final stop on our tour is Sansepolcro, Piero della Francesca’s birthplace. Here, you’ll visit the Museo Civico, where you can view one of his most powerful works, the Resurrection of Christ. This painting, described by many as Piero’s finest work, has been admired by artists and historians alike for centuries.

A Journey Through Tuscany’s Scenic Landscapes

In addition to the remarkable artworks, this tour offers the opportunity to experience the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany.
