Most of our customers enjoy having the benefits of a private tour. You have your own guide. You can have rest stops when you like. We can tailor the tour to suit your needs and preferences. We always choose the best guide for your needs, whether you are a family, an art school, or a company doing an incentive event.
All our tours except our Sex, Drugs and Renaissance tour are kid friendly. When doing a private tour with us, you have your own guide, so tell us in the notes of the booking the ages of your kids and we will tailor the tour and choose a guide that’s great for kids for you. We also have 4 special kids’ tours in Florence.
No large bags or backpacks in museums, in churches shoulders and knees must be covered so bring a scarf to cover your shoulders. IF it’s a walking, bicycle or a countryside tour make sure to bring comfortable shoes. It’s important for everyone to bring their ID
We are offering mainly Private and some Semi-private tours at the moment. We do not offer many semi private small group tours anymore due to the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. The difference between Private and Semi-private is that the private tours are fully private tours with your own guide and the Semi-private are small shared group tours where individuals can join others.
If you enjoyed your tour and would like to give your guide a token of appreciation, tips are happily accepted. When asked, the office staff recommends whatever amount you feel comfortable with giving.

On my recent too short stay in Florence I took three delightful tours with Walking Tours of Florence. Your articulate introduction to the world of Florentine and Tuscan culture were enriching and rewarding

The walking tour of the city was perfect. The guide was great–he explained the historical significance of each of the sites. His approach and humor made the tour very enjoyable. The tour of the uffizi and accademia were excellent as well. The three tour guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant. We have recommended the tours to my sister and friends while they are there this summer and upcoming winter

Your tour guides for all three tours were absolutely fantastic. As an arts professional, I love the fact that you employ art historians to lead the tours – not just for the musuems – but for the walking tour as well. What some people don’t recognize is the role the arts have played in the history and formation of civilizations, empires, countries, cities and cultures. Florence is cerainly rich in all of those areas and Artiva delivered the goods. It was the highlight of my Italian experience. We loved your walking tour of Florence and the tour of the Uffizi and Academia. The guides were brilliant; informative, interesting and still so enthusiastic about the art after showing it to many people. We cannot recommend your tours too highly; they are the best we’ve ever had and made our time in Florence very enjoyable!

Both my wife and I had been to the Uffizi and the Accademia before, but Laura brought both museums to life with deep knowledge of the artists and the history that surrounded the pieces. What a difference Laura made as we truly experienced these museums rather than just visiting them. Highly recommend Laura and ArtViva
