Your guide, an expert personal shopper with an eye for Florentine quality, beauty, and authenticity, will lead you on The Florence Artisan Shopping Walk, a delightful tour of workshops through the historic Oltrarno quarter, including:
- A mosaic and scagliola workshop, to see mosaic landscapes “painted” with marble and stones.
- A fascinating wood workshop, where traditional furnishings and sculptures are still carved by hand.
- A leather shoemaker, to discover the creation of entirely handmade shoes directly in the artisan’s studio.
- A Florentine paper workshop, where authentic Florentine marbled paper is created by a bookbinder in the historic Oltrarno quarter.

Would highly recommend this tour for anyone that would enjoy learning and seeing true artisans at work. The shops we visited for this tour were very unique and interesting. We were 2 older adults and 2 teenage grandchildren and we all enjoyed the tour.

Maria was knowledgeable about the artisans in Florence and gave a special opportunity to learn about a variety of types of art and unique Florentine specialties and their histories while touring small craftsmen shops difficult or impossible to visit on one’s own. A wonderful tour!
