This tour was a splurge for us, and I’m so glad we did it! The first time I visited Florence (thirty years ago), I was in awe of the art and architecture. I came back with my family all these years later and wanted to understand more about what I was seeing. Ricardo provided the most interesting commentary about the history and personalities of the artists and innovators who shaped this amazing city. We learned about Michelangelo’s teacher, how the Medici’s got to work, and how the arch evolved. He pointed out the wine doors from which residents sold wine in earlier times, and he introduced us to the work of a modern artist who brightens the streets of Florence today. The tour was a joy! I wish I could have taken a week (or more) of tours like this one. See you next time we are in Firenze! Thank you!!

Corrine was wonderful! Extremely knowledgeable with fascinating facts about the artwork and time period. It would have been more enjoyable if Art Viva had provided her with a microphone and headsets. It was extremely loud in the Uffizi and difficult to hear her. I would recommend the tour to my friends.

We had a wonderful morning tour with Irene. The high temperature the day of our tour was 104 F, 40 C. The tour would be miserable any other time. It was quiet on the street and she could answer every question we had. Her knowledge and personality were immense. Definitely one of the best guides we’ve had in Italy. She also told us all the best coffee and gelato in Florence. Would recommend to a friend.

Catherine was engaging, informative, and experienced. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned new details about the Médicis and their city. She also made excellent recommendations for visits to small shops and restaurants. Booking was easy, we received confirmations and reminders in a timely manner and highly recommend ArtViva.
