    Meeting Time and Dates: 1:50pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2 April - 31 July and 1 September-31 October.  

    Includes: Quality guide, guaranteed small group, entrance to St. Mark's Basilica* and the Doges' Palace, headphone audio systems when required. 

    Excludes: Optional gratuities

    Meeting point: Under the portico, at the foot of the stairs at the Correr Museum's entrance. This is just off St Mark's square between shops 77 and 78, under the arches on the opposite side of the square to that of the Basilica. See map below.

    Please note: Knees, backs and shoulders must be covered for church entry. No backpacks allowed. *At times, St Mark's Basilica is closed for religious ceremonies, on occasion without prior announcement. In these instances, the tour will proceed without entering into the Basilica.

    Minimum participants: 4 persons 

    Maximum particpants: 18 persons

Security and personal belongings: Due to increased security, some delays in entry are to be expected. We do in any case offer the quickest possibly entry. Bags (incluing purses, satchels or pouches), backpacks or other varieties are no longer permitted in the Basilica di San Marco. There is a free baggage deposit service available, although it is suggested you do not leave any wallets or other items of value. Please bring as few personal items as possible. 

Please note: Shoulders and knees must be covered when entering churches. At times, St Mark's Basilica is closed for religious ceremonies or other reasons, on occasion without prior announcement. In these instances, the tour will proceed without entering into the Basilica. The Basilica is closed on April 24th and 25th because of the celebrations in occasion of the feast of St. Mark. 

 

Weather: Runs rain or shine.  Please note that in the case of rain occasionally causing high water in St. Mark's square, there may be an extra wait to enter the Basilica on occasion.
